Lengths and sizes whose case won't fit your bed get marked as incompatible.
3 Choose your GEN2 length
Length is how deep the system is, in millimeters. Every component in one setup (drawers, shelves, cabinets, and mounts) shares the same length.
Unsure which length to choose?
Length = depth only. It sets how deep each drawer reaches front-to-back — it doesn't touch width or height, so you stay free to build as wide and tall as you like, and every drawer in one setup shares the same length.
- Simple rule: measure the deepest thing you'll store, then pick a length whose inside depth (shown in each description) is a little bigger.
- The trade-off: shallow = less filament and print time, and you see everything at a glance; deep holds bigger and longer items but hides what's at the back.
- Not locked in: you can print a fresh set at a different depth later for a separate setup — nothing here is permanent.
Truly torn? 185 (171mm inside) is the versatile default that handles most everyday items.
4 Design your layout
New to GEN2? Three things to know
- Cases are the frame. Every spot you fill in the grid is a case · cases QuickLock together into one structure.
- You choose what goes in each case · a Classic or Decor drawer, a shelf, or a cabinet. Swap them anytime.
- The mount holds it all · rails under a table, a Table Top Kit on a surface, or wall mounts.
Workable area
Pick what to fill each case with and a size, then click the grid to place it. Click a placed unit to select it, then use the arrow pad below the grid to nudge it (or drag it) · and remove it from there too.
How do the covers stack? staggered like brick
Every cover is two layers · CU (upper) over CL (lower), each in 1W and 2W. Offset their seams like brickwork so no joint runs all the way through. Foot rails (FR-U / FR-L), shown in blue on the layout, stack the same way.
5 Your parts list
For Decor drawers whose faceplate has no built-in handle.
Quantities for mount hardware are estimates · always confirm against the instructions at the GEN2 Instruction Hub.
